Terms of service

The agreement between your kitchen and MLJ, SASU for the use of FreezerFive. Last updated September 4, 2026.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms form a binding agreement between MLJ, SASU, publisher of FreezerFive, and the business that opens an account or uses the service. By creating an account, submitting the request form or paying an invoice, you accept these terms on behalf of the business you represent and confirm that you are authorized to do so. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What the service is

FreezerFive is a web based application for meal prep and freezer meal kitchens. It provides a weekly menu ordering page for your customers, automatic scaling of recipe ingredients to the number of portions ordered, unit conversion and consolidation of ingredient totals, allergen tagging that flows from ingredient to dish to printed label, printable pick lists and prep sheets, container label output, cost per portion calculation, and grouping of deliveries into routes with printable manifests. The service is delivered over the internet through a standard browser. It is a planning and record keeping tool, not a food safety certification, not an accounting system and not a payment processor.

3. Eligibility and accounts

The service is offered to businesses and to individuals operating a licensed or permitted food business. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the account details you provide, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for everything done under your logins, including by staff members you invite. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the service only for lawful operation of your own food business. You will not attempt to access another customer's data, probe or interfere with the security of the service, resell or sublicense access, upload material you have no right to use, use the service to send unsolicited bulk mail to people who did not order from you, or use automated means to extract data at a volume that degrades the service for others. We may suspend an account that is causing harm to the platform or to other customers, and we will tell you why.

5. Subscriptions, prices and billing

Three plans are offered. Home Kitchen is $29 per month, Commercial Kitchen is $79 per month and Multi Route is $159 per month, all in US dollars. Every plan is billed monthly in advance on the anniversary of the day you started. There is no setup fee, no minimum term and no annual commitment. Prices are exclusive of any sales tax or VAT that may apply, which is added where legally required. You can change plan at any time; an upgrade takes effect immediately and is prorated, and a downgrade takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

If a payment fails we retry it and notify you by email. If it remains unpaid after 14 days we may suspend access, and your data stays intact and retrievable during that period. We may change published prices with at least 30 days written notice; the new price applies to billing cycles that begin after the notice period ends, and you may cancel before then if you do not accept it.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from the billing page in your account, with no fee and no notice period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing month you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. Monthly payments already made are not refunded on a partial month, except where a refund is required by law. After cancellation your data remains exportable for 30 days, after which production data is deleted. Reopening an account later restores your menus, recipes and customer records if that is done within the 30 day window.

7. Your data and ours

Your recipes, ingredient costs, customer records, order history, labels and route data belong to your business. We claim no ownership over them and we do not sell them, share them or use them to train models. We process them only to operate the service for you, and we may use anonymized aggregate figures that identify no customer and no business to describe the service publicly. You may export your data to CSV at any time from the account settings. We keep daily backups restorable across the previous 30 days. The software, its interface, its brand and its documentation remain the property of MLJ, SASU and are licensed to you for the term of your subscription, not sold.

8. Availability

We aim for 99.5 percent monthly availability outside scheduled maintenance. Maintenance is announced in advance and scheduled outside the ordering cutoff windows used by most of our kitchens. Because pick lists and prep sheets are printable, a kitchen can complete a production week on paper if the service is briefly unavailable, and we recommend printing the week's sheets after cutoff for exactly that reason.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that the calculations it produces remove your obligation to verify quantities, allergen handling and labeling against your own standards and your local health authority requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service in any 12 month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service during that period. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost customers, spoiled inventory or loss of goodwill, whether or not we were advised such damages were possible. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MLJ, SASU and its director against claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, from content you upload, or from your failure to meet your own food safety, labeling or licensing obligations.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to account holders at least 30 days before they take effect, and the version in force at the time of your current billing cycle is the one that applies to it. Continuing to use the service after the notice period means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France. Questions about this agreement go to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com. Publisher details are on the legal notice and data handling is described in the privacy policy.
