Privacy policy

What this website collects, why, how long it is kept and how to get it removed. Last updated September 4, 2026.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this website is MLJ, SASU, the publisher of FreezerFive, whose registration details appear in full on the legal notice. The publication director is Jimenez Julien. Any question about this policy, and any request to see, correct or delete your information, goes to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com and is handled by a person, not an automated system.

What the contact form collects

This website has exactly one place where you can give us information: the request form in the contact section of the home page. When you submit it, the following named fields are transmitted and stored: name (your full name), email (the work email address we reply to), company (your kitchen or business name), role (your job title, chosen from a list), request (whether you want a demo, early access or a quote), size (the portion volume band your kitchen packs in a normal week), message (your free text description of how your ordering and prep week runs today), and consent (the record that you ticked the consent box).

Three hidden fields travel with the submission for routing purposes: form-name, which identifies which form was sent, subject, a fixed line naming the brand and domain, and recipient, the mailbox the notification is delivered to. A field named bot-field is present and hidden from you; it exists only to catch automated spam and a human visitor never fills it in.

The form processor also records technical metadata attached to the submission, including the date and time it was received and the IP address it came from. That metadata exists to detect abuse of the form and for nothing else.

Legal basis and purpose

We process this information on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before you send the form, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry that you initiated. The purpose is narrow: to answer your request, to prepare a demonstration account if you asked for one, and to keep a record of the exchange. Your information is never sold, rented, traded or shared with advertising networks or data brokers, and it is never used to build a profile of you.

How long submissions are kept

Form submissions are retained for 24 months from the date they are received, after which they are deleted. If the exchange leads to a subscription, the associated commercial records are kept for the duration of the contract and for the accounting retention period required by law. You can ask us to delete your submission before the 24 months are up and we will do it, normally within a few working days.

Processors and hosting

This site is a static website hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. Netlify Forms receives, processes and stores the submissions made through the contact form, and sends the email notification to our mailbox. Netlify acts as a processor on our instructions. We use no other processor for this website, and we do not embed third party widgets, chat scripts or advertising pixels.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no third party analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no cross site tracker on any page. The site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to that service to fetch the font files; no cookie is set by that request from our side. Aggregate, non identifying traffic counts made available by the hosting platform are the only usage statistics we look at.

International transfers

Our publisher is established in France and our hosting and form processing are operated by a company established in the United States. That means information you send through this form may be stored and processed in the United States. Transfers are covered by the standard contractual clauses and the data protection terms in our agreement with the hosting provider. If you would rather not have your details processed that way, write to us directly by email instead of using the form.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw a consent you previously gave, and to receive your data in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Virginia, your state privacy law gives you the right to know what personal information has been collected about you, to obtain a copy of it, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising and we never have. We will not discriminate against you in any way for exercising a privacy right.

To exercise any right on this page, email jimenezjulien42@gmail.com and describe what you want done. We answer within 30 days and may ask one clarifying question to confirm the request relates to your own submission. There is no charge for a reasonable request. If you are unhappy with our answer you may appeal by replying to it, and we will review the decision.

Children

FreezerFive is a business tool sold to kitchen operators and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a child has sent us information through this form, write to us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

Pages and form submissions are served over encrypted connections. Access to submissions is limited to the publication director. We apply security headers on every response, including a strict referrer policy and a permissions policy that denies camera, microphone and geolocation access.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting how existing submissions are handled are communicated by email to anyone whose submission is still within the retention period.
